finally! my first quilt is finished... it's a simple but funky quilt that consists of two large pieces of fabric, machine sewn on the seams, stab stitch on the edging and hand tied with french knots. it came from a great quilting book called MAKE YOUR OWN CONTEMPORARY QUILTS. i would recommend it - there are great instructions for first time quilters like myself. i'm making another quilt like this one with different fabrics. then i'm on to a children's quilt from this same book. hooray for handcrafts!
