i've been back from the doctor, and finally have a name to call my chronic knee inflammation - PIGMENTED VILLONODULAR SYNOVITIS (PVNS). it's a benign disease of the joint that makes a normally 'lettuce' like lining in the knee turn into a 'cauliflower' like lining... ie - not good. i'm on a waiting list to have a relatively non-invasive surgery where they shave and suck out the bad parts. only a 2 month recovery time - not bad. those of you who have heard my constant complaining/whining about this persistent injury will be happy that i will soon have nothing (well, less) to complain about! lol ;)
and, no, this is not MY knee - but it is an example used for illustration purposes :)
