the film version of THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE is due out on december 9th... the perfect cozy film for the approaching days 'til christmas (although the perpetual winter thing is not as cozy as christmas winter, if you know what i mean). in preparation, i've just picked up the collector's edition of the book complete with colour illustrations (at a reasonable cost from chapters - $11.99); so far, it is quite the nostalgic read. i've only gotten to the part where lucy meets the faun, but already i'm enjoying it. not to flaunt being out of school, 'cause many of you reading this are still drudging through uni., but i honestly thought i wouldn't know what to do with myself and that i'd be completely bored and unstimulated - but i'm not! the only difference between uni. and no uni. (for me anyway), is that i can *choose* what i want to study/learn/read/do. still just as busy as i always was. i'm thinking about taking on beginner adult ballet lessons as my next 'class.' couldn't you just picture a bunch of adults having a first 'recital' - wouldn't that be a hoot!
anyone want to start reading it with me? we could have an online casual book chat of sorts...
p.s. the title of this blog entry is a link to the official narnia film website - oh, i've just realized it's a disney production, hmmmm...
