a snippet

This week was fairly ho-hum, but I feel as though I should keep you all in the loop :) I got to be an art teacher at a super small and hidden high school on UBC campus (I didn't even know their was a school there!)... the school has fewer than 500 students and they don't use a bell system - students just wander from block to block and it WORKS! Of course, the students were also super down-to-earth and 'with it.' Essentially, I got paid to knit, to chat with the very fun students, and to do their funky art projects with them (see my conte crayon chickadee above - Mandy, IS that a chickadee?! - I just took a wild guess).

Most of our time was spent at Kiri's apartment because we had our hardwood floors restored a darker colour. I think it adds a richness to the main floor - we're continually seeking new ways to enhance our house before listing time. (what do you all think?)

I've also been quite crafty this week. I'm working on a log cabin quilted pillow for a friend's birthday. And all the while Daryan and I are working and trying to be productive, our sweet kitties lounge around and sleep. Solomon was feeling motivated enough to wake up and pose for this photo ;)

Hey Jill!

That is a chickadee, your drawing was so good that I recognized it right away! I think that your living room looks really great too, you will have no troubles selling the house. Can't wait until you move back to ontari-ari-ari-ooooooooo!
