oh yay! my mail order purchase has finally arrived! i ordered a fabric scrap bag from a minimalist modern quiltmaker in the states; it has many bold fabrics in it. i thought there might be larger pieces in the scrap bag, but they are remnants after all. my favourite pattern is that blue/turqoise and yellow centred pattern near the left of the photo. already i'm thinking of some creative uses that i'll put them all to :)

Me again...I have a ton of scraps that my grandma has given me and I know that there is a piece/pieces that match that blue one that you said you like. When you come to Ontariariario we can have a scrap swap!
